If there’s one thing I definitely hate experiencing in this world without any semblance of a doubt, it would be the experience of being sick.

I hate everything about being sick; I despise the feeling of fevers, of coughing, of sneezing, and anything else that might compromise my comfort.

I dislike being sick so deeply that I go out of my way to make sure that I protect myself every flu and cold season. Recently though, in the middle of summer no less, I came down with a mysterious sickness that I couldn’t make heads nor tails of. I didn’t have a fever nor a sore throat, but I was sneezing and coughing horribly. I did some research, and it eventually occurred to me that my air filters might need to be changed. I’d read that when your air filters are too clogged with air contaminants like dirt, pollen, and pet dander from months (or even years) of keeping the air in your home clean, you can start to get sick because it’s so backed up. Eventually I contacted my local HVAC provider to have my air filters looked at, and they confirmed that this was the case, as my filters were very dirty. I decided to get my filters replaced with new, more advanced HEPA filters, as I felt that the more advanced filters would help to prevent something like this happening again in the future. After all, I hate being sick, so what better way to prevent that scenario than making sure my air is clean? With my new HEPA filter my sneezing and cough have completely disappeared, and I couldn’t be more thankful!

I love my cat very much. In fact, I can’t find a single part of my cat that I don’t love! He’s important to me, and I wouldn’t trade him for the world. I contacted my local HVAC provider to get my filter looked at, and sure enough, it was very cheap and filled with dirt and cat hair. It even made me start sneezing right then and there! As soon as it was replaced I asked the HVAC technician what my options and next steps were, and he suggested that I should get a HEPA filter. After looking into it, getting a HEPA filter started to look like an amazing idea. Eventually I called my HVAC technician back, and went about getting some HEPA filters in my home. Now that they’ve been installed, I never have to worry about any pet hair making it way into my bedroom, because my HEPA filter catches it all! I’ve been able to sleep better thanks to it, and I could never be more thankful.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love to keep my home clean.

I honestly wasn’t all that sure what to expect when moving to the south.

Sure, that often comes with a high Heating plus Air Conditioning heating bill however I’d rather pay to be warm than be cold all winter. Well now that I’m going on our second Wintertide in the south, I’m blissful to report that all our complications were unfounded. While I wasn’t force fed grits, I have come to honestly enjoy them on the side of a plate of biscuits plus gravy. And the heat pump is more than enough Heating plus Air Conditioning heating for us. The Wintertide is even milder than I first thought. The heat pump doesn’t even come on that much anyway. But when we do run into a cold snap, the heat pump is capable of producing all the Heating plus Air Conditioning heating we would ever need. And the heating costs are near negligible.

Evaporative coolers use a easy fan to push air through a wet medium, thus causing the moisture to evaporate into the air, thereby dropping the temperature in the process. But this natural cooling from moisture evaporation only works in dry climates.
