Moldy ductwork can cause heavy allergies

I’m so thankful that I happened to be listening to an ad on the stereo.

  • It was an ad by a local heating, ventilation, and A/C company promoting ductwork cleaning.

Normally, I just tune out when the commercials begin on the stereo, either that or I simply change the station. For some reason, I tuned into what I was hearing as the heating, ventilation, and A/C company told myself and others about air quality. I certainly haven’t paid all that much attention to the heating, ventilation, and A/C unit in our home though. That’s mostly my partner’s thing as he changes the air filters and makes the appointments for heating, ventilation, and A/C service. So I certainly must have been destined to hear this advertisement because normally I would not think twice about the heating, ventilation, and A/C ductwork. It certainly did make sense because I definitely was symptomatic when it came to a recent cold that just lingered and lingered. Suddenly, it just dawned on me that the air quality of our apartment might be the culprit. I ended up calling the heating, ventilation, and A/C company, and the heating, ventilation, and A/C professional confirmed what I was thinking. So I made a ductwork cleaning appointment, and when they do the ductwork cleaning they follow up with the ductwork resealing. This not only helps the ductwork stay cleaner but it improves the efficiency of the heating, ventilation, and A/C unit as well. Once the heating, ventilation, and A/C crew got all the ductwork cleaning done, I replaced the old air filters with a HEPA filter. And now we have fantastic air quality and I am no longer symptomatic. My respiratory health bounced right back and our apartment just feels so much cleaner now that the ductwork cleaning was done.
