The rain wasn’t exactly fun
When I was in school, I was on the cross-country running team… I loved being outdoors as well as in nature.
I liked running in the woods as well as I loved the smell of the trees.
I was one of the fastest people on the team as well as acquired a scholarship to one of the state schools. I’m in my third year of university as well as I have a pretty amazing group of friends! Most of us are on the cross-country running team. On the weekends, we enjoy going hiking in the mountains. There are a lot of mountainous areas near the university as well as multiple of the areas have trails for starters as well as advanced hikers. My good friends as well as I usually take the advanced hiking trail. We do not mind a challenge! Last weekend we chose to go hiking along the ridge. We took that 8 mile hike all the way to the summit. It was particularly hot as well as humid! Hiking along the ridge was fun until the rain started. There was no rain in the forecast as well as it completely caught all of us by surprise. It got chilly honestly abruptly at the top of the mountain. The hike back down to the parking lot was somewhat sketchy, because it was muddy as well as slippery all over the place. My friends as well as I were soaked as well as wet when we got into the car! Even though it was incredibly hot outside, we decided to turn on the heater. We were all a bit chilly after getting wet as well as the heating equipment helped dry our clothes as well as totally warm us up. We hoped the rain would eventually quit, but it continued for an hour. Eventually, we made the decision to leave.
