The rain kind of ruined the hiking experience
When I was in school, I was on the cross-country running team… I enjoyed being outdoors in addition to in nature. I absolutely enjoyed running in the woods in addition to I enjoyed the odor of the trees. I was one of the fastest on the team in addition to acquired a scholarship to one of the state schools. I’m in my second year of school in addition to I have a fantastic group of friends. Most of us are on the cross-country running team. On the weekends, we appreciate going hiking in the mountains. There are a lot of mountainous areas near the school in addition to several of the areas have trails for beginners in addition to advanced hikers. My friends in addition to I usually take the advanced hiking trail… We do not mind a challenge… This past weekend we opted to go hiking along the ridge. We took that 8 mile hike all the way to the summit. It was boiling in addition to humid. Hiking along the ridge was fun until the rain started. There was no rain in the forecast in addition to it completely caught us by surprise. It got frosty really quickly at the top of the mountain. The hike back down to the parking lot was a little sketchy, because it was severely muddy in addition to slippery everywhere. My friends in addition to I were soaked in addition to wet when we got into the car. Even though it was particularly warm outside, we decided to turn on the heater. We were all a bit frosty after getting wet in addition to the heating device helped dry our clothes in addition to warm us up. We hoped the rain would eventually subside, but it continued for a long time. Eventually, we decided to leave.
