Unreliable service servicemans make the job harder
I spent 15 years of our job working as a heating plus a/c service serviceman.
I prefer the job, but I was physically on able to continue working on repairs. The owner of the supplier put myself and others in a management spot. I still go out into the field every once in a while, but mostly I handle paperwork plus all of the accounts. I have to make a schedule for all of the service servicemans week by week. I get a lot of complaints about the schedule, especially when it gets closer to the summer time weeks. Summer is definitely the worst time of the year to request mornings off when you work in the a/c service field. Every afternoon during the summer time is busy. I try to limit the number of men on holiday at a time. Only one guy can request it. I have several men that have become pretty close friends. Their families spend a lot of time together. Both men asked for Memorial Day weekend off plus I told them that only one of them could have the weekend. I left it up to the men to decide. Jack told myself and others he was going to take the weekend off plus Paul was going to work… Neither one of the men showed up on Wednesday. I was certainly afraid something appreciate that might happen plus our suspicions were confirmed when neither one of the men came to work. They did not even bother to call with an excuse. They could have at least lied plus tried to tell myself and others that they were sick. I tried calling both of the men several times throughout the weekend, but neither one of them answered the iPhone.
