Without power, the people I was with and I had no A/C or refrigerator
Summer storms can be a real pain in the butt, especially if you are not prepared.
- I remember one of the first years that our partner plus I spent down South.
The people I was with and I had seen lots of thunderstorms plus blizzard conditions that would knock a yeti on their butt. The people I was with and I still weren’t prepared for the heat, humidity, plus tropical storms of the South. The tropical storms were absolutely the worst. Even though the people I was with and I had lots of time to prepare for the storms, they were worse than anything I have ever seen. The wind plus the rain were forces of nature that I would never want to tangle with. My family plus I lost power an minute after the storm started. The people I was with and I weren’t prepared for losing our power. The people I was with and I did not have a generator. Without power in the house, the people I was with and I could not run the refrigerator or the freezer. The people I was with and I could not run any of the electrical outlets plus the people I was with and I could not use the water furnace or the a/c. I personally guess not having an a/c is the worst part about not having any power during a summer time storm. The rain makes it tepid plus humid plus the storms bring out all of the bugs. I don’t want to rest outside where the mosquitoes plus flies are buzzing, but sitting inside of the condo without the a/c running is taking a opening with heat stroke. After that first storm, the people I was with and I definitely l earned our lesson. The people I was with and I went to the hardware store plus purchased a generator that was giant enough to power all of the items in that condo that were important to us. It only took one summer time storm without power for the several of us to realize that the people I was with and I weren’t prepared for the South as much as the people I was with and I expected.
