I’m staying with a friend for the next two days
I’m staying with a friend for the next couple of days, because the AC unit in my home stopped working.
The repair service technician told me that I have to pay for a brand new AC unit.
I contacted a loan company, because I don’t have enough money. I have to wait until I get paid. I don’t get paid for another 10 days. I can use money from my paycheck as a down payment for the AC unit and then I can make payments on the balance. Unfortunately, I didn’t have anyone that could loan me the money. The best my friends could do was put me up for a couple of days so I wouldn’t have to deal with the hot and humid summer temperatures. Jack offered me a place to stay in his apartment. I was hesitant at first, because I didn’t want him to expect anything in return. After all, he is a guy and I am a girl. He offered to sleep on the couch so I could take the bedroom. I agree to his offer. I spent seven days and seven nights with Jack. He was a perfect gentleman the whole time I was there. He never tried anything funny and I felt absolutely and totally safe with him. It was actually nice to have another person around at night. It made me miss the time I had in college when I had a roommate all of the time. I haven’t had a roommate since I left school, but I kind of miss having someone around. Jack reminded me how fun it can be to hang out with a friend.
