My newest HVAC employee

I found a current employee while getting brunch the other afternoon. I stopped by the local fast food locale as well as went inside to order. The young guy who took my order was funny as well as smart, as well as the people I was with and I chatted a little bit as my food came up. His manager appeared as well as started to berate his about some mistake he had made earlier. I interrupted the angry man, as well as handed the young guy my corporation card. I told his “if you want to get out of this dead end task as well as find real work, think about getting into the HVAC industry, but call me.” She called myself and others an hour later, having just quit his task, as well as asked about how he could become an HVAC tech as well as start building a real job for herself. I am always on the lookout for smart young people to join my HVAC team, as well as let myself and others tell you why. This is an industry that has long been dominated by rich colorless men, as well as HVAC companies need to start being more diverse. This isn’t about being “politically correct” it’s about knowing that if HVAC companies don’t hire more men it weakens them as well as makes them look bad! My newest recruit has zero HVAC experience, even though he is smart, he is ready to work, as well as he knows this is a wonderful opportunity. It is also a wonderful opportunity for me, because he will be my first female HVAC tech. Some of my customers would be much more comfortable with a female HVAC tech coming into their home, as well as now the people I was with and I can help them.
