Getting a heat pump for retirement
It’s pretty crazy when something you’ve dreamed about & planned for over the decades eventually comes true.
There aren’t all that many long term scenarios that come true like when you retire.
To be honest, I’m just blessed that retirement was still an option with all the financial challenges we’ve faced in time. However, leaving the zone controlled Heating & A/C of our corner office wasn’t especially easy. While I was happy to start the next chapter of my life, it was hard to say goodbye to a passion I’d worked at all my adult life. Still, it was time to turn over that corner office to the next woman who would get to prefer the perfect heating & cooling of that zone controlled Heating & A/C. My partner was who absolutely got it taken care of those last few years prior to me retiring. She called it quits on her career a few years before me & so she started lining up the life both of us would embark upon. Like so many of our buddies, both of us chose to leave the chilly Winter behind & move to the South. I have to say that I wasn’t concerned about saying goodbye to the gas heating device & welcoming the heat pump as sole Heating & A/C system going forward. The heat pump has more than lived up to the billing also. That thing absolutely is a marvel. Both of us get all the Heating & A/C cooling we actually require during the nearly 8 months of the year that it’s on. But I was also amazed to see that the heat pump was plenty to knock the chill off a gentle Winter as well.
