Went deep with spring cleaning and ductwork cleaning

It felt as though we really were inside the air conditioning of our house for two years.

That’s the result of the pandemic in our home.

One of our children has a genetic condition that puts her at very high risk for serious issues from Covid. So we had to do everything we could possibly do to protect her. That meant that both my husband and I remained at home working from our own air conditioning instead of back at the office. I missed the office actually. We have zone controlled HVAC there. My husband sort of enjoyed working from home and has decided to keep it up. I’m just now back going to the office as my daughter is triple vaccinated as are the rest of us. But it’s the fact that the cases of virus are very low in our region so we’re finding out a bit what the new normal has in store for us. One thing that I did take advantage of this spring was a very deep clean on our home. Most springs, I like to get a good clean on the house before the air conditioning is on all the time. Where we live, the air conditioning can be on for 8 months out of the year. That means that our house is really sealed up tight in order to maximize the HVAC equipment efficiency. This year we really went deep with the spring cleaning by adding ductwork cleaning. And that was just the ticket. We had the ductwork cleaning and ductwork resealing done and our house is even more fresh and clean than it’s ever been. That’s a great way to start off this new normal we are attempting to embrace these days.
