I told my dad his business was going to fail
My dad is really something.
He is a great person overall, but boy can he be stubborn and not wanting to listen to anyone.
Honestly, the only person I think he’d ever be willing to listen to is his wife, my mother. Otherwise it doesn’t matter how right you are, he would still ignore you. This can make talking to him and offering him suggestions a bit of a struggle. Luckily my dad and I are interested in different things, so I don’t need to try to convince him to do something he doesn’t want to do. However, there was one time when he came to me for help. My dad has owned a small A/C corporation for many years now. The business had always been small, as my dad liked it, but now he was getting less and less customers, which was very concerning. I already knew the solution to his problem, but I knew he wasn’t going to want to listen. I told him that he was going to have to switch advertising tactics. I suggested using digital marketing and he of course said no. I told him that online marketing is the only way his business was going to live, and without it, his business was going to fail. I guess he was shocked by my bluntness and maybe that got him thinking, because he eventually called me and told me I was right, and now he was looking into digital marketing companies and how SEO services could help him get on the right track.
