I hated toiling in our office.
When the pandemic hit and I was told I could labor from home, I was glad.
The two of us never had actually superb heating or a/c in our office building.
The two of us had been told, at least once a year for the last many years, that the supplier was going to upgrade our weary, seasoned Heating plus A/C system, however it never got done. When the pandemic started, the first thing they did was to give us permission to do our labor from home, they were going to send us yearly emails telling everyone what needed to be done. As long as the two of us kept up with our labor and kept to the deadline, the two of us could continue to labor this way. I had a brand current Heating plus A/C system at home, so I was glad. At that time, the two of us were expected to get back to labor by the end of April, that turned into May and before the two of us knew it, a full year had passed. I had enjoyed excellent heating and a/c for the year, and the two of us were now heading into the a/c season again. I had to admit that as much as I was enjoying our Heating plus A/C system and air purification, I was beginning to miss our coworkers. I missed having people to talk to and complain with when the labor wasn’t what it should be. I hated toiling in the office a year ago, although I was hastily wishing for the stale Tim Hortons Cappuccino that was in the machines. I even missed the lousy Heating plus A/C system in the building. It’s amazing the things you miss when you no longer have them.
