I was praying for a miracle to conserve money

My life has gone downhill ever since my husband died.

  • I am a single mother to my needy toddler, and being a single parent is a serious struggle.

My husband was the breadwinner of the family, so when he died, I had to find a better job just to keep my family afloat. None of my relatives live close by either, so this means dropping my son off at a daycare, and he utterly hates daycare and cries most of the time I’m gone. I feel torn, I obviously can’t take time off, I need every penny I can get, but I feel like I am abandoning him otherwise. Then as if it couldn’t get much worse, then my air conditioning unit broke. I decided that I could go without HVAC, but it seemed to bother my son as he would nonstop cry. He would feel hot to the touch, which greatly concerned. I started praying for a miracle, because there was no way I was going to be able to afford a HVAC repair bill. Thankfully, my prayers were answered, and I just happened to come by an ad from a man who was moving and needed his old mini split ductless A/C gone as soon as possible. It was old and it couldn’t heat and cool my entire home, but it was something and that was enough for me. I was able to pick it up on the same day, and it has helped a ton with keeping my son and I warm and cool no matter what season it was.
