I did not realize the fireplace would need to be cleaned

My fiance and I bought a home last year and it was the first time that either one of us had something that was just ours, then all of us lived in an cabin for a while and after that the two of us bought a condo. The apartment was ours, but the two of us had to share our yard and the street with other people. It never actually felt like it was a home; Last year, my fiance and I decided to buy a house. All of us outgrew the apartment and the locale was no longer giant enough for our family of four, then my fiance and I searched a lot of weird properties before the two of us found the right locale for our family. My fiance and I were happy that the house had a fireplace. All of us moved to the property shortly before the Winter time season began and the two of us were happy to use the fireplace the first time that the two of us had a freezing snap. My fiance was at work, but I stacked up some logs and some small pieces of wood to create a nice pyramid. I used a long match to light the small pieces of wood under the big logs. I had a small fire burning when I realized that the room was filling up with smoke. I opened the flu and most of the smoke left the room, but there was still a lot of soot and smoke in the room. I decided the two of us should call a cleaning service to make sure that the chimney wasn’t blocked. It was a good idea, because there was a big buildup inside the chimney and that was the main reason why the room was filled with smoke.
