Cannabis farming, humidity controls throughout house

When my brother told me that he was going to start growing his own plants I thought that was an amazing idea.

  • For the longest time, my brother has been deeply depressed and demotivated to do anything.

He hasn’t been able to hold down a job, he has let most of his social connections disappear, and he barely even takes care of himself. I thought it would do him a lot of good to take care of something else for a while. It was even better that he wanted to care for plants, because it wouldn’t be such a big deal if he managed to kill them. Then… I found out that he was ordering a brand new heating, cooling, and air quality control system for his plant project. It turns out, he’s not just talking about growing some succulents indoors, my brother has decided to upgrade his ventilation system so he can maintain an indoor marijuana grow house. Apparently, you need a lot of specialized air handling equipment to manage the indoor air temperature and air quality necessitated by the sensitive plants. If you do not continually keep your indoor air within a certain temperature range and set of ideal humidity conditions, you are likely to kill off your plants or have an unproductive batch. This is why he is now installing humidity controls and sensors throughout his entire house. He needs to accurately modify the amount of humidity and moisture in his air to make this project worthwhile. I really hope he takes good care of his pot plants after this massive HVAC investment. If he kills these air temperature sensitive friends, it will be a pretty expensive failure.
