I care about going to several venues with excellent weather conditions control for spoken word
One of our number one things to do is to go to locals where they do poetry evenings. Occasionally I will get into karaoke, however I’m not the best when it comes to singing. I also don’t necessarily savor other poor singers butchering music, but poetry on the other hand is usually a phenomenal experience. There are some poets that don’t do easily well, however I figure that everybody can work up to greatness. The a single thing that makes it all enjoyable is having the perfect temperature control settings in the venue. I care about it when everything is just right including the humidity levels. You think a venue is easily on their ‘A’ game when they have a dehumidifier/humidifier component with the humidistat set to the perfect levels! Also, if they have a quality air purification plan & keep their Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C plan regularly maintained, that’s the ideal venue to be going. I think all of the owners at these establishments & I only read poetry at the venues that have the best Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C systems. I will go to other establishments from time to time if they have satisfactory temperature control settings, however I won’t stick around if I don’t guess easily comfortable. I have heard some easily lousy spoken words in some venues with horrible temperature control settings. I don’t see any reason to stick around in venues like that. I already think all of the best spots. I would easily be surprised apart from a new venue opening up to hear about another enjoyable venue in the area. If I did hear about such a venue, I would be there in a heartbeat.
