Sunroom needs HVAC
The older I get the more I appreciate things that I used to make fun of when I was younger.
I remember being a teenager and laughing very hard at my family being so obsessed with the topics of floor coverings and storage.
I had no capability to appreciate the importance of amenities in a modern home. I had never worried about setting up a comfortable living space or trying to establish a living situation that would meet all of my needs. This is why I surprise myself sometimes when I get excited about certain house features. For instance, when I saw that this house came with a sunroom I nearly jumped for joy. I thought that I would love sitting in the enclosed outdoor space and soaking up the natural ventilation provided by Mother Nature. However, I didn’t realize that I was going to need to purchase some equipment to be able to modify the indoor air temperature and enjoy my sunroom. It turns out, there are very few days when the sun room is naturally graced with a comfortable air temperature. Most of the time the indoor air is swelteringly Hot because of the sun pounding through the massive windows. The other half of the year the sunroom is ice cold because of the brutal winter season. This is why I am going to have to install some central heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment that can extend to the sunroom. The other option is to purchase a mini split ductless heating and cooling system in order to provide both heat and cooling without modifying my central HVAC. I haven’t made any big air quality control decisions yet… But I am shocked to even be considering these HVAC upgrades with a straight face.
