Traveling for work
I suppose that the best section of our job is all of the traveling that I get to do.
Occasionally, I will be away from new home for weeks at a time, I mostly stay in hotels but occasionally, I will get a rental new home if it is an extended stay.
One of the best arenas I have ever stayed while traveling for labor was a condo on the beach. I was able to stay there for 3 weeks! I started to get homesick but there were so many amazing things about this condo. I had never used a smart thermostat until I stayed in this condo. I got respected with the smart thermostat quickly. During our stay, I would be away for most of the day, so it was nice to be able to be in control of the temperature of the condo when I returned from a long day of work. Being able to control the temperature in the condo was nice because the weather in the region where I was working was truly warm. During the day I would spend a lot of time outdoors for work, and coming back to a condo with the A/C blasting was ideal. I didn’t want to use energy to cool the condo all day, because that would not be energy efficient of me. I decided that I was going to learn how to use the smart thermostat in the new home as well as use it to our benefit. I got so used to the smart thermostat that I even had a single installed in our own new home once I returned.
