I wanted to leave my mark
For as long as I can remember I’ve been obsessed with the method of recording my existence, but i’ve typically kept journals, mementos, & souvenirs throughout my entire life.
I’ve had this method that I willabsolutely love having all of these physical memories someday when I am old & looking back on my experiences.
I assume that my brain can’t record everything that’s happening to me, so I’ve typically wanted to make sure that I had a record to reference. I remember doing the same back when I was a child & both of us were living in a huge old victorian house, then the home had been outfitted with central heating & cooling devices just before both of us moved in, so it had an interesting current believe despite the old walls. I slept in a room that was in the attic, where I had access to a lot of the HVAC ducts. As a kid, I remember thinking that the whole situation was so loving as I sat in my creepy attic room surrounded by huge duct work. I also thought that the docs work gave a particular occasion to leave my mark in the house for future generations. I would properly write notes & journal entries on tiny pieces of paper & shove them into the huge HVAC duct system. I figured, 1 day another little girl would be playing in the attic near the HVAC method & find all of my tiny recordings. In a way, both of us could affix to 1 another through the current heating & cooling method in this historic home. Well, my recordings never made it to another little girl, because an HVAC professional got to them first. I willnever forget how silly I felt when our heating & cooling specialist showed a bucket full of handwritten notes to my mom after locating them in the ductwork, now, I keep my writing to myself.
