It’s no secret that I can certainly use all the help I can get when it comes to looking after myself.
It’s not something that exactly comes naturally to me.
I wasn’t the kid in sports or in the gym growing up. No, I preferred the air conditioning or working on the computer. That’s sort of how that went for me. So as the decades have sort of dripped away, I found myself to not be in the best of shape. And so getting locked down in the air conditioning of my house was really the best thing for me. It totally threw off my old, self destructive routine and allowed some good sense behaviors to take root. That’s turns out to be a great thing. I started stepping out of the air conditioning to enjoy the fresh air and get in a brisk walk. From there, other changes showed themselves. And I even learned all about the importance of indoor air quality when it comes to overall health. I really thought that the HVAC equipment was really cleaning the air inside my house. That’s why I thought I was changing the air filter every month. Turns out, that air filter was really there to protect the HVAC equipment and not my health. So that bit of information got me to looking online where I learned all about indoor air quality. And it was pretty astonishing really. It didn’t take long before I made some changes. The first thing I did was to replace the cheap air filter with a HEPA filter. That made a big difference as a HEPA filter removes more than 99 percent of the airborne contaminants in the air.
