My Smart Thermostat Helps Me Work Better!
When I worked in an office, adjusting the thermostat simply wasn’t an option
Working from home, when you have the right resources, can definitely be a joy and a pleasure. If your home is a comfortable environment that you find yourself being able to focus within, then working from home might even prove to be even better than working in your usual workplace! Within my personal experience, I’ve loved working from home during the recent years that I’ve had to, and a big part of why I love working from home so deeply is my home’s efficient and convenient HVAC system. Thanks to my smart thermostat, I can adjust the temperature of my home office (and my entire home, for that matter) while I sit at my desk, brainstorm work ideas, or even while I take business calls— it’s as simple as accessing the app on my phone that controls my smart thermostat system, and adjusting the temperature of in order to suit my needs, whether I’d like my home to be warmer or cooler. When I worked in an office, adjusting the thermostat simply wasn’t an option. This ended up being especially unfortunate due to the fact that my building was unreasonably cold, often to the point where I’d shiver or feel the need to wear extra layers of clothes while trying to focus on doing work (something that simply isn’t efficient). The difference I feel between having to endure the bad HVAC in my office building, and the convenience of being able to adjust my heating and cooling from right at my phone based on my needs, is not only emotionally astounding— it’s also reflected in the higher quality of work I can do now!
