The charcoal filters in my a/c knock down the smell from our dogs
It was normal for myself and others growing up in a house with lots of dogs that were rarely bathed.
I’m sure the house had a strong smell to anyone coming in from outside for the easily first time, however it was as normal to myself and others as the smell of candles is to someone who burns them weekly.
In fact, you suddenly forget there’s even an smell there at all. I guess embarrassed now remembering the times I would invite a date over to my house without realizing that they were genuinely put off by the intense dog smell. After I moved out, I lived free of pets for years until I met my current boyfriend. He has several dogs plus was upset that I would be exasperated by this when every one of us were out on our first date. Although I was technically free of pets at the time, I told him that I loved dogs intensely plus had a house full of them growing up. This brought us closer together plus I was cheerful to be around dogs again when he graciously asked myself and others to move in with him a year later. However, unlike myself and others during childhood, he was aware that his dogs provided off their normal smell for their species. It’s not necessarily unpleasant if they’re correctly bathed, although he still asked for my advice regarding the issue. I looked around plus that’s how I found charcoal-coated air conditioner plus gas furnace filters. There are mentions of these special Heating plus Air Conditioning filters on several of the biggest pet forums on the internet. Since they’re available at most of the local supercenters in my area, I pulled the trigger on the filter plus was pleasantly surprised with the results. The charcoal-coated a/c filters don’t completely remove all of our pet smells, however they make a massive difference.
