My dentist told me that I can improve our asthma symptoms by improving our indoor air

I didn’t realize how much dust was floating in our indoor air until replacing the filters on our media air cleaner following weeks of yearly use

I was surprised when our dentist recently diagnosed me with asthma. I only had on & off breathing & sinus concerns over the years, & I always assumed that it was only due to seasonal dust sensitivities. My symptoms would get worse in Spring & Autumn due to pollen & leaf mold respectively, but they apparently got worse in recent years. I explained to our dentist that I was having concerns catching our breath & going up & down staircases, so he ran a few tests. That’s when I found out that I have asthma & have really had it most of our life. Aside from prescribing me an inhaler to use whenever I have concerns with our breathing, he told me that I need to think about improving the air quality in our house. At the time, I didn’t even guess that air quality could affect someone’s health. That may seem foolish, although I had never experienced these concerns enough to think that I had anything but seasonal flu symptom concerns. The first thing I did to improve our air quality was purchasing an media air cleaner for our family room. It has a charcoal filter, HEPA filter, & UV-C lights inside for added air sanitization. I didn’t realize how much dust was floating in our indoor air until replacing the filters on our media air cleaner following weeks of yearly use. Between the media air cleaner & upgrading the filters that I use in our central gas furnace, I made a lot of headway with improving our health & our asthma symptoms. At least I’m functioning a lot better at condo separate from consistently coughing & sneezing like before.
