Sometimes a failing air conditioner just needs more coolant
It’s easy to freak out and lose your sanity when something expensive that you own suddenly stops working.
I’ll never forget how frustrated I got the first time my old IPOD classic crashed on me while I was listening to music. Thankfully it just needed to be reset and it powered back on again. It lasted for years until I stupidly threw it in my car one afternoon and ended up damaging the internal hard disk drive. I have faced the same problems with a number of smartphones over the years, regardless of the make and model. Even computers like to crash for random reasons only to start back up again like nothing had happened. You might be terrified that you’re dealing with hard drive failure when you might just need an update and a system restart. It’s easy to get stressed out by these situations when you don’t know what is going on. Recently I nearly had a heart attack when my air conditioner performance kept getting worse over the past four weeks. The average daily temperatures in my house were climbing despite me setting the thermostat lower and lower. I thought for sure that my air conditioner was fried! In no time at all, I had my phone out and was dialing the number for my heating and cooling supplier. To my relief, they agreed to send out an HVAC technician later that same afternoon. When he arrived, I was worrying that I would need a new air conditioner. That’s why I was in disbelief when he told me that it was a simple coolant refill. The refrigerant had gotten low and just needed to be topped off. And with my HVAC service contract, the whole visit was free! I am still in disbelief over my luck and good fortune.
