Brother won the lottery and wanted help building his dream home
It was actually very exciting when my brother won the lottery.
He won 20 million dollars and suddenly he had complete freedom as far as money goes. Because I work in construction, he wanted my help in building his dream home. He said he didn’t want the house to be too huge because he didn’t want to have to pay a small fortune for heating and cooling costs. He also said he didn’t want to have to hire too many people to help keep up his property. He explained that he would be alright with just a cleaning service, landscaping, and gardening. I told my brother that if he went for a good ductless mini split system with 8 zones, he would be able to heat and cool the different sections at customized settings. He loved the sound of that. So we worked on designing his house starting with the kitchen, the bedrooms, the living room, dining room, and various other rooms. He wanted a personal gym with all the perfect equipment. He wanted to have a movie theatre with comfortable seating and the ideal design with extremely powerful air conditioning. He also wanted to have an indoor pool that had radiant heating so the pool was always warm. He wanted to have a lazy river and a waterfall there somewhere. So I put together the blueprints and I worked with my contractor to get the ball rolling on building his new home. We put together a time-frame for the project and we actually got suitable weather for the most part. We were able to finish the build in perfect timing with everything that my brother wanted. When he saw the house after it was completed, he was blown away. I thought the pool was the best, especially with the radiant heating.
