Ductless heat pump is ideal for master bedroom remodel

We recently enlarged the master bedroom in our home, but we tore down some walls to combine the existing bedroom with an exterior back porch. We needed to close in the porch, replace windows and add insulation… One of the largest debates was over how to manage temperature control. Our apartment is outfitted with a forced air gas furnace and central a/c. The HVAC duct doesn’t extend to the back porch area. Once every one of us combined the bedroom and the porch, the number of supply vents were not passable to manage consistent temperature control. Adding on to the HVAC duct would have been an especially invasive, lavish and messy project. We hoped to find something a little more convenient, affordable and easy. I consulted with a local Heating and A/C corporation who recommended the replacement of a ductless mini split. This type of proposal is especially compact and bendy. It relies on an outdoor compressor linked by way of a slenderconduit to an indoor air handler that mounts up high on the wall. The indoor air handler combines both heating and cooling capacity and includes an independent control unit. This allows us to customize the temperature in the master bedroom without affecting the rest of the house, however despite its small size and simplicity of replacement, the ductless unit is surprisingly powerful. It’s able to maintain ideal comfort no matter the severity of the outdoor weather. It handles sub zero conditions plus high heat and humidity. The heat pump operates very quietly, effectively filters contaminants out of the air and is super energy efficient. It features something called inverter technology that automatically adjusts speed to meet increasing demands and maximize cost savings.
