Field trip with no air conditioner

I thought that chaperoning our daughter’s eighth grade class field trip would be an enjoyable experience, and i was looking forward to spending some extra time with our daughter, meeting her classmates as well as participating in the tour of a historical fort. I didn’t realize that the fort was situated over an hour away as well as that we’d be traveling by school bus, but although both of us headed out at 8 o’clock in the day, the outside temperature was already 85 degrees… The bus was not equipped with any type of air conditioner! For safety purposes, the windows only open about several inches. They brought in very little air, as well as the bus was horribly boiling. It was also severely old as well as bounced us all over the stadium, however by the time both of us arrived at the fort, several of the adolescents were carsick as well as I was dealing with a raging headache. I then discovered that the tour of the fort is actually outdoors. For the majority of the time, both of us were exposed to direct sunlight. The only air conditioned part was the gift shop, and my little group of women as well as I lingered in that air conditioned gift shop for as long as possible; No 1 wanted to get back onto that boiling as well as sticky bus for the ride home. I can’t imagine who thought it would be a enjoyable method to send a group of adolescents to an outdoor fort in the middle of July. I’m sure there’s an indoor, air conditioned aquarium or math museum in closer proximity.
