Added air conditioning system to our lake house after 35 years
Along with the air conditioner, I also purchased a cover for the current Heating, Ventilation & A/C cabinet outside.
Trust me, Heating, Ventilation & A/C cooling is the least of our worries in this house. For one, both of us live so far north that we’re almost in Canada. That means our summers are normally entirely nice. Sure, it gets overheated during the afternoon & occasionally even a bit hot. But it’s never been enough for us to have an air conditioner. My partner & I have been in this beach house for 35 years & not once have both of us had Heating, Ventilation & A/C cooling. Well that is until now. My partner has slowed down considerably & spends a lot of her afternoon inside the house. She has been after me for air conditioning system for years now. So this past year both of us added central air conditioning system to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C in our home. I have to say that it does a good task & is far more efficient than I thought it would be. Paying a bunch for Heating, Ventilation & A/C cooling was not something I wanted to do. I spend enough currency just heating this beach house during our winters. And those winters are long, chilly & heating costs are valuable. That’s why I was entirely pleased when I got the first electric bill after both of us started with the air conditioning system. It absolutely didn’t jack the bill up all that much. Along with the air conditioner, I also purchased a cover for the current Heating, Ventilation & A/C cabinet outside. With our winters, I sure don’t want the weight of all that snow & ice resting on the Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment. And who knows when one of those important icicles will break loose & hit the Heating, Ventilation & A/C as well. All in all, I’m please with the addition of the air conditioning system.
