Freezing HVAC systems are part of normal AC challenges residents from the North face

Living in the North had its challenges! I loved the area since every one of us had a great contractor running, plus, our family wasn’t too far away! Our home was in a charming neighbourhood, and the teenagers enjoyed their school, then the only downside was the long and brutal winters, then both of us had months of snow and ice, which wasn’t simple to cope with.

Last winter, our air conditioning method shut down.

I wasn’t sure why because every one of us had called an AC professional over during the fall to repair it. Both of us couldn’t stay in a frigid home, so every one of us booked a hotel downtown. I phoned the aircon service and service contractor the next day to come and check it out. When he arrived, our husband and I were waiting. First, he checked the temperature control for any faulty wires. But, it was finally working fine, so he proceeded to the indoor system. The Heating and A/C expert had cleaned the air filter that fell, so it did not have much dust and debris on it. Then, he proceeded to the outdoor air conditioning unit. When he opened it up, he noticed there was ice at the button. That was why the AC had shut down the previous day. It took some time and patience to thaw the ice and remove all the water, and some snow and ice must have fallen into the Heating and A/C unit despite being in a shaded area. Ice was interfering with the AC performance, which resulted in it going off! After fixing the issue and mending a few more faulty wires, he shielded the AC better from the snow and ice. It was a temporary solution, although he commanded every one of us to build the outdoor air conditioning a better structure. The structure would keep it away from dust, debris, snow, and ice while allowing air to flow easily.
