Not a happy camper when I got home to an overheated place
I wasn’t happy when I got back home and my cooling system wasn’t cooling my house down.
It was incredibly overheated and I went to look at the thermostat.
I actually did adjust the temperature control settings before coming back home on the smart app, but I didn’t realize there was an issue. Usually my smart thermostat will alert me to any issues, but I didn’t get any alerts. It seemed like my A/C system was working but the air coming from the HVAC vents certainly was not cool. I ended up having an HVAC technician come out to check everything and he was able to discover that there was a refrigerant leak. The refrigerant had been leaking from my system and I didn’t even know it. He said that the refrigerant levels were extremely low making it impossible for the cooling system to do its job. So he gave me his estimate and I agreed to pay for the refrigerant leak repair job and refrigerant refill. It took him about an hour to get everything taken care of. I really must say, this guy made everything look easy. He was definitely a trooper though and motivated because he was feeling just as overheated as I was in that house. I was so thankful when my A/C system was finally supplying me with frigid air and the house was able to cool down after about an hour of working. I hope I never have another issue like that with my cooling system. That was a real nightmare.
