My husband went without me and I’m enjoying it.
I had the air conditioning cleaned and serviced for the summer, and any minor repairs that needed to be done, were completed.
My husband is involved in an amateur hockey league. Last week he told me they had made it into the playoffs and they were going to be gone for almost ten days. I knew that most of the wives weren’t looking forward to their husbands leaving, but I was kind of happy about it. I always looked forward to when my husband was gone for a couple days. All the chores I had been begging him to get done around the house and he ignored, I was able to complete. When I got all the information about when he was leaving, I started making phone calls. I had the gardener come over to trim the hedges. I went through all the old clothes and junk in the basement, and got rid of everything that hadn’t been used for a year. I then called the HVAC company. I wanted to have them come out and clean the ductwork. It had been a couple years since the ductwork had been cleaned, and it was time to get it done. I had the air conditioning cleaned and serviced for the summer, and any minor repairs that needed to be done, were completed. I even had the HVAC technician clean and make minor repairs to the furnace, so I didn’t need to have it done before winter. I was so happy that he had won his cup, but I was also happy that he was home safe. I told him about all the work I had done around the house and to the HVAC system. I don’t think he heard me because he was too busy finding a place for his trophy.
