The air conditioner equipment in my AirBnb is keeping me up

Traveling when I was much younger was so much more challenging than it is today.

There was a point where gasoline came to $4 a gallon during the Bush administration as the economy basically came to a halt. When you account for inflation, it was also more expensive to travel by air too. Whenever I went away on a trip, I was basically limited to motels and hotels for accommodations. Every once in a while you can discover a nice hotel in the middle of nowhere, however a good amount of the chain hotel companies cut corners when it came to room service. I have stepped into more hotel rooms that wreaked of black mold stink than I would like to mention. It’s pretty much like these companies know they’ll make their currency no matter what so they don’t care. Even though I had very few options back then, I feel liberated by companies similar to AirBnb where I can pay the same rates to rent a person’s modern home or apartment. Of course there are still awful accommodations out there that need to be constantly vetted, however I have had mostly good experiences when I stayed in houses during my travels. Unluckily, the one I’m in at the moment has noisy air conditioner equipment. I appreciate the view of the ocean here and the pool in the back, however the air conditioner equipment was installed in the closet outside the master bedroom. It has kept me up every single night turning on and off each time it cycles. This is the first time I’ve had anything close to a bad experience when renting a person’s place of residence as opposed to a hotel room.
