There are reasons why your household may be dusty

No one enjoys a dusty home.

If you have been asking yourself why your household is dusty, or noticing your household is dusty no matter how much you clean, this may be an indication that your Heating and A/C device is not filtering dust properly.

Your air filters are the first place you should look if you are experiencing complications with dust. Air filters are supposed to trap dust and other material from getting into your household and need to be either replaced or cleaned properly. If your air filters are entirely clean, the problem may lie in leaky HVAC ducts. This is because leaky HVAC ducts not only cause your Heating and A/C device to over work however will also cause unfiltered, dusty air to get into your household and will cause your energy bills to go up and is an official culprit for why your household gets so dusty fast. The HVAC ducts may need to be repaired if you notice lint or dust buildup on vent registers, costly utility bills and warm or chilly spots in your household. High levels of humidity in the household can cause dust to build up. The easy solution to this setback is running a humidifier to reduce the dryness. Humidity can be an official problem in households in areas with warm climate areas, but another way dust can get into your home is through cracks in windows. The windows may need to be re-caulked to create a much tighter fit! Dust can actually be brought into a household from your family’s shoes which is an official reason why the household is so dusty. An easy fix with this is having everyone refrain from wearing shoes inside the household. It’s a good move to run through this list first to see if your dust issue can be repaired actually by yourself. However, if you have checked all of the above items, and are still finding your household to be more dusty than normal, you should have your Heating and A/C device checked out by a professional to determine if a service is necessary.
