I had no reason to run away from the law.

It seems that every time I turn on the news, all I hear is how someone broke into someone’s home and stole something.

I’m sure some of the break-ins were people who couldn’t find labor and needed currency to support their families.

This doesn’t make it any better because no matter how you slice it, it is still illegal. Personally, I would rather go on welfare than steal from someone, but not most people feels that way. Last week I was talking to a single of our neighbors and he told myself and others he had a window cooling system he was trying to sell. He said he had only used the cooling system a couple months and he was willing to sell it for half of what he paid. I believed in helping our neighbor, so I bought the cooling system. Two afternoons later I had the police knocking on our door. I didn’t have anything to hide, but I also didn’t want to talk to them since they weren’t wearing masks. When I heard them knock again, I opened the door. They saw the A/C machine and asked where I got it from and why I didn’t answer the door. I told them the story and they were going to handcuff me. I took them to the friend who had sold the A/C machine to me. I’m cheerful I made him give myself and others a receipt. As much as I didn’t want to see him in even more trouble, I wasn’t going to go to jail for break-in and burglary. He was the a single who stole the A/C machine and lied about it.
