We were lost in the woods
We were lost in the woods for hours with no air conditioning or heat.
That sounds like a small problem when you are lost in the forest.
But where I live, it gets extremely hot during the day and freezing at night. When we first went out into the forest, we didn’t think we would get lost. We were starting to sweat from the heat when we realized we were lost and out of water. When evening came, we found an abandoned shack. Outside of the shack we saw an old central air conditioner unit. The central air conditioner unit looked like it had been sitting there for centuries. We figured this old air conditioner wouldn’t work, but we entered the old cabin anyway in hopes that the air conditioner would work and give us some relief from the heat. We went to the small old thermostat on the wall and turned it on. To our amazement, the central air conditioner started to work! It took a while, but eventually the air conditioner managed to cool the little cabin to a very comfortable temperature. We set up camp at this cabin and settled down for the night. We also found an old wood furnace in the house as well. We managed to fix some of the pipes and then to light the wood furnace. We slept nice and warm that night. When we found our way home, we ended up going back to cabins which we named the HVAC cabin and we fixed it up and polished the old central air conditioner and wood furnace. We now have many memories in the HVAC cabin.
