An annual furnace tune up can save your life

This might sound like it’s coming from a pretty paranoid person, but the truth is that having something as simple as an annual furnace tune up can actually save your life and the lives of your family.

That’s because even having a small leak in your furnace system or your boiler can end up exposing your family to an altogether deadly amount of carbon monoxide in your home.

According to the CDC, carbon monoxide poisoning kills over 400 people in our country every single year. You don’t want that to be you or your family, that’s for sure. If you have a leaking boiler or furnace system in your home, then you should know that it’s one of the most common causes of deadly carbon monoxide poisoning. Whether you’re dealing with a gas furnace, an oil furnace, an oil boiler, a gas boiler, or even a wood burning or gas fireplace, it’s the same thing. Keeping your home protected from carbon monoxide is absolutely necessary in the wintertime when the outside temperatures are low. I mean, there’s no way that you would be able to get through the freezing cold winter times around here without running your furnace or boiler system and I’m sure that’s probably how it is where you live, too, if you’re reading this. Make sure that you have an annual heating system tune up and maintenance check performed by a certified HVAC technician just to be on the safe side. It doesn’t cost all that much to have your furnace checked and it’s totally worth it to keep your family safe.
