Ice-cold floors were no good for me

I’ve been talking about this to all the people I talk to.

Each winter, I lament about how frosty our floors are.

My floors basically feel like they have ice beneath them and I need to change it. This past year, I was told I have arthritis in my feet, and I honestly thought I had simply broken my toe when I stubbed it early in the warm season. The nurse did some x-rays and told me the toe wasn’t broken, however it was arthritic. She pointed out odd other parts of my feet that were also suffering from arthritis. Bones were being realigned, and there were spurs all over the small joints and on the smaller bones. I was in regular pain. Now that the frosty season has arrived again, stepping onto those nippy floors, is even more painful than it has been in the past. The coldness of the floors spreads so much pain throughout my feet that I am entirely unable to walk. I cry when even my socks touch the toes or the sides of my feet. My wife needs to put up with my pain, as much as I do. She recommended that we talk to the Heating and A/C corporation about having radiant heated flooring installed. The cost of a new heating was so exorbitant that we knew we couldn’t afford radiant heating flooring. My hubby found heat tapes that we could install beneath our carpeting. The two of us planned on having wall to wall carpeting installed, to supply our feet some cushioning. The heat tape could easily warm the carpeting and make it more comfortable for me. The nice thing is that we wouldn’t need to have the heating on when I had our shoes on. The two of us simply turned on the heated floor tape during the evening.
