Putting off furnace repair

My wife and I have been trying to save as much money as we can lately.

• We really want to buy a new house because we want to start a family as soon as possible.

Well, since we are trying to save money, we have been putting off repairs that need to be made around our current house. We also know that we are going to have to sell our house once we do have enough money saved so we aren’t in a rush to repair things around the house. That being said, we have been putting off repairing the furnace for about a year now. Well, the winter season is about to start so I know that we will need a working furnace to get us through the winter season. So, I called a local HVAC company to see if they could give me a quote to repair our furnace. They sent out an HVAC tech to assess our furnace to give a proper quote. Well, when the HVAC tech looked at the furnace, I knew that he was going to give us a very high quote. I knew all along that we should have just had the furnace repaired when it started breaking down last winter, but we just weren’t in the right place financially to get the furnace repaired. I think moving forward we just have to make sure that we are taking care of our house because we don’t want to get ourselves into another situation like this where we have to pay more money in the end.
